SMU Dance Marathon Brought the Moves

SMU’s Dance Marathon Club is a student-run fundraising organization whose primary goal is to raise money for Children’s Health. The club raises donations year long, inviting SMU students to join in the celebration and support the children and families from Children’s Health with speakers, treats, games, raffles, and  lots of dancing.

Move for Miles Childhood Cancer Foundation presented a $10,000 check and this year’s SMU Dance Marathon had a record breaking number of attendees! Children’s Health patient families were in attendance and shared their stories with the SMU community.

Throughout the six-hour dance marathon at Hughes Trigg on Saturday November 2, students raised money while learning a dance routine, making crafts, entering raffles, and eating tons of food. The Bachelorette and  Bachelor in Paradise star, Connor Saeli, even made an appearance and handed out roses to participants who raised over $250.
