IHOP: Flip it Forward for Kids

Children’s Health, a Children’s Miracle Network hospital, has joined forces with IHOP for the 14th annual IHOP Free Pancake Day – Flip It Forward for Kids^® event.

On Tuesday, March 12, 2019, IHOP restaurants across the nation will give away FREE short stacks of its world-famous buttermilk pancakes from 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. (with some markets extending hours until 10 pm), all while collecting donations that stay local and directly benefit our hospital.

Partnering with CMNH, IHOP selected three current or former patients ages 6-16 for its 2019 Kid Chef team to kick off the campaign. This year, IHOP will select a Kid Chef Champion on February 25. The winning Kid Chef pancake will be available at IHOP restaurants nationwide until April 14. In addition to the money raised on IHOP Free Pancake Day, one dollar from every sale of the Kid Chef Champion pancake will benefit CMNH and other charities. These three locations are partnering with CMN and Children’s Health in North Texas:

Flip It Forward

This year, IHOP expects to give away more than 5 million pancakes while partnering with its franchisees and guests to raise $4 million for national charity partners and local hospitals like ours.

In 2018, IHOP exceeded $4 million in support of Children’s Miracle Network and other local charities – including $2,087 for Children’s Health. Previously called National Pancake Day, the event was renamed in 2019 to reflect a closer tie into the charitable aspect of the campaign. Since 2006, IHOP has raised more than $30 million for leading children’s health and wellness organizations.
